The Oliver family has owned and operated Oliver Health Foods since 1953. At Oliver Health Foods, we strive to be your trusted neighbourhood nutrition source, offering you guidance on all your natural health product needs.

In 1949 Howard Oliver followed his interest in the health food industry by importing and distributing across Canada a vitamin and mineral supplement called Elemin. He was also distributing a weight loss product called Weigh Rite and a nutritional feed supplement for animals called Feed Ani.
In 1953 Vic’s Health Foods in downtown Lethbridge was purchased and a new Health Food Centre was established. The wholesale operations were run out of the back room. In the mid 1950’s the wholesale operations were dropped because the Canadian government made the importation of vitamins from the USA too difficult and costly.
The lease on the original store at 907 – 3rd Avenue South was not renewed in about 1979, and the store moved to College Mall on the far south end of Lethbridge, In 2002 the store moved to the present location in Lethbridge College Centre at 20th Avenue and Mayor Magrath Drive South.
Oliver Health Foods is now owned by Don and Dana and Ryan and Chawntelle Oliver – the second and third generations of Olivers to own the store. The store has changed dramatically over the years, but the focus remains the same – to provide exceptional customer service and quality natural health products to our customers.
We are a proud member of Health First Network, an association of independent health food stores. This allows us to borrow from the collective wisdom and buying power of 130 stores across Canada.
